General

  • At My Best Pal, I’m passionate about building better relationships between dogs and their owners through my specialized services, including dog training, pet sitting, and breed matching. Each service is designed with your pet's well-being in mind, ensuring a happy, healthy, and harmonious life together. You can learn more about my offerings here.

  • I am currently serving the Tri-Cities area of Washington, specifically Kennewick, Richland and Pasco.

  • My dedication and customized approach sets me apart from training facilities in my area. Whether it's training your dog, caring for your pet while you're away, or matching you with the perfect breed, I go above and beyond to ensure the best for you and your pet.

  • My pricing is tailored to each service:

    Dog Training: $42-50 per session with a mandatory one-hour consultation at $30.

    Pet Sitting: Rates start at $30 for hourly care, with daily rates of $45-$65 depending on your needs.

    Breed Matching: $200 for the complete service, including follow-up sessions at $30 per hour.

  • Getting started is simple! For any of my services, please text me at 509-518-3673 to schedule your initial consultation.

  • For dog training, I require an initial consultation to understand your needs better. For pet sitting, you must fill-out my House and Pet Sitting Form, and your pet must have up-to-date vaccinations, and we cannot sit dogs with a bite history.

  • Our initial consultation is an opportunity to discuss your needs, expectations, and any specific challenges you're facing. We'll go over the details of my services, answer your questions, and outline how I can help you and your pet achieve your goals.

  • Yes, I understand that plans can change. Please notify me at least 24 hours in advance for dog training to avoid a $10 cancellation fee and for pet sitting, a week's notice is required for cancellations to avoid potential fees.

  • While the nature of my services doesn’t typically allow for refunds, I’m committed to your satisfaction. If you have any concerns about the service you've received, I encourage you to contact me immediately so I can make it right.

    As a certified canine trainer through the Will Atherton Training Academy, and with four years of pet sitting experience, I bring a depth of knowledge and hands-on expertise to each interaction.

Dog Training

  • During training, I focus on teaching a variety of essential skills and commands to help your dog become a well-behaved and confident companion. This includes:

    • Basic Commands: Sit, stay, come, and down.

    • Crate Training: Helping your dog feel comfortable and secure in their crate.

    • Loose Leash Walking: Teaching your dog to walk politely without pulling.

    • Behavioral Challenges: Addressing issues such as nipping, chewing, jumping, and barking.

    • Advanced Skills (for extended programs): Socialization, impulse control, and reinforcing positive behavior patterns.

    Each training program is tailored to your dog's specific needs and personality, ensuring a personalized approach to their development. Through consistent, positive reinforcement and clear communication, we aim to foster a strong bond between you and your dog while promoting lifelong good behavior.

  • Clients typically see noticeable improvements within two to three sessions, assuming that the homework and instructions are consistently applied by the client.

  • As a certified canine trainer through the Will Atherton Training Academy, I employ a balanced approach to training. Success depends on a collaborative effort, requiring active participation and commitment from the dog's owner as well as my expertise.

  • A mandatory one-hour consultation is required to discuss your pet’s specific needs and set goals for the training sessions. Text me to book at 509-518-3673.

  • All breeds are welcome. However, for safety reasons, I am unable to work with dogs that have a history of biting. Currently, my focus is on basic obedience training, and I do not offer behavior modification services at this time.

  • Absolutely! In fact, owner involvement is encouraged to ensure consistency and reinforce learning.

Drop Ins

  • During a drop-in visit, I will let your pet out for a potty break, provide feeding if needed, and engage them in playtime to ensure they remain happy and comfortable. You will also receive updates with photos or videos of your pet.

  • To schedule a drop-in service, please fill out my House and Pet Sitting Form to provide details about your pet’s needs. I will then coordinate with you to arrange a convenient time for the visit.

  • ICancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance and are subject to a 50% cancellation fee. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in a charge for the full visit amount.

  • Yes, I am experienced in administering both oral and topical medications as needed. During our consultation, we'll discuss your pet's specific medical needs, dosage requirements, and any special instructions to ensure they receive the best care.

Pet Sitting

  • My comprehensive care includes daily walks, feeding, medication administration if needed, mail retrieval, watering plants, and trash pickup.

  • I treat every pet as if they were my own, following the specific instructions provided by you. To offer peace of mind, I regularly send photos and videos of your pet during their care.

  • In the unlikely event of an emergency, I follow a predetermined plan discussed during our initial consultation, which includes immediate communication with you and seeking veterinary care as specified by you. Rest assured, I am prepared to act swiftly and responsibly to ensure your pet’s safety and well-being.

  • Yes, I am experienced in administering both oral and topical medications as needed. During our consultation, we'll discuss your pet's specific medical needs, dosage requirements, and any special instructions to ensure they receive the best care.

  • Beyond the standard care, I offer additional home services such as plant watering, mail retrieval, and trash pickup to ensure your home remains in order while you're away.

    Note: Specific services outside standard pet care may incur additional fees, which we can discuss during your consultation.
